Ian Bustard trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and is a BAFTA award wining producer, director and actor.  As a director his work has been shown on the BBC, ITV, Amazon Prime and as a part of various International Film Festivals. He is attracted to character stories with a strong human element. He formed Underground Cinema Club so he could use his experience to build a strong filmmaking network in Scotland and produce original work. He has made huge number of films for a wide variety of clients and organisations. Please get in touch regarding collaborations, commissions or if you have a great story. ​
The Falkirk Cowboys is a documentary film that tells the story of a group of factory workers in Falkirk during the 1970s  who made Cowboy Films in their spare time. It is an unikley tale full of comedy, warmth and charm. The film was screened on the BBC and was made this with Objective Media. The film received a number of rave reviews and was pick of the week in the Scotland on Sunday.

Marty Goes to Hollywood is a film with no budget about a guy in a film with a big budget.Despite getting gets his big break playing Tom Hanks' Irish brother in the movie Cloud Atlas, Marty can't afford to go to his Hollywood premiere. His pals make a pledge to get Marty to the red carpet in Hollywood and decide to film the process but Hollywood does not welcome the idea of a film being made on their turf.
​In the face of adversity, the boys refuse to take no for an answer and set out on a journey of friendship, belief, surprise cameos, kilts and banjo's swapping the hills of Castlemilk for the streets of LA. The film takes a look at the reality of how a Scottish jobbing actor fits into the massive US film-industry machine. The film won the BAFTA New Talent Award. 
The film was screened on the BBC as well as Amazon Prime. 

A love Divided is a short film that made with Solar Bear. The film is a retelling of Romeo and Juliet and the performers were all from Solar Bear's Deaf Youth Theatre. The film is totally silent except for an epic score by composer Scott Twynholm. 
A Love Divided won the audience award at Deaffest and actress Georgia Raymond received a BAFTA new talent nomination. The film was  screened by the British Film Institute at Southbank before embarking on a UK wide tour as part of the BFI's Live's in Sign Languages programme. 
Amlet is is a very short modern punky version of Hamlet. It is set on estate in North London and the cast were all non actors and were actually a real family. The film won the special Commendation award at West Herts College London and went on to be screened at the Raindance Film Festival and the Brooklyn Film Festival.
